FAQs

1. I know the function of what I want built, but I don’t know how I want it to look. How do I decide and communicate that to you?

It’s ok to not know exactly what you want it to look like; I can help! I will ask you to fully describe the function you are envisioning, and for whom it is to be created, and then ask you to send (email or text) any inspiration photos of the shape or colour you like for the item. I will then send you some idea images for you to rate ‘love/like/meh/nope’ so I can get a better idea of what will suit your preferences.

2. I want to visit your shop, but I don’t see an address on your website. Where are you located?

I am located in East Kildonan, Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a small business, I want to keep my clients’ projects and my hard-earned tools safe. Once we have communicated about your project, I will happily send you the address for pickup, or to have face-to-face discussions.

3. Can you ship my project to me?

Yes. While we mostly do local business and have items picked up or hand-delivered, we can ship items. Size and location are the two main factors in the cost of shipping, and because most of our products are custom, the size can vary greatly. Check out our Shipping page for more information.

4. I’m not sure that my idea is similar to anything you have displayed in your Gallery. Can you still make it for me?

Send me an email and I’ll let you know! I love learning and trying new things, and just because you don’t see it on my website doesn’t mean I haven’t done something similar. Alternatively, I may be able to direct you to a fellow artisan or craftsman if I don’t have the right skill set or it doesn’t fit in my business scope.

5. Can you engrave personalized images or words on a project?

I can incorporate your personalization, either through in-house pyrography or through third-party laser engraving.

Personalization by laser engraving or pyrography will add to your project cost. Pricing starts at $40.

Customer Satisfaction

It’s our job to make sure that we get your project right before you receive it. If for some reason it is not, we will be available to discuss how we can make it right. Please keep in mind that your custom order is unique, and there isn’t another one somewhere on a shelf. We want to get it right in the design process and communication before we start the build; that’s why we have you sign off on the design before we start purchasing and building.

Wood is a natural product that was once alive and growing! Each tree has grain patterns that are unique - that’s part of its beauty. The grain pattern of your custom piece will differ from examples you see shown here on the website or in other places.

Please contact us if you are unhappy with your project or our service. We will do our best to help!
